By Laws
- A member introducing a guest shall sign a register kept for that purpose disclosing the name of the guest introduced.
- No guest shall be allowed unless the member introducing such a guest is present in person.
- If the General Secretary is of the opinion that any guest introduced by a member is not fit to be so introduced, or introduction of such person as a guest is against the best interests of the Society, then and in such case the General Secretary may request the member introducing such a guest not to introduce him in future as a guest.
- Guest fee for Swimming will be decided by the CEC from time to time and the same presently being Rs 100.00 (exclusive of taxes & duties) per dip per day. The Guest fee need to be paid at Reception Counter while entering the society. Please refer to Guest Entry Rules & Fees.
- Non-Swimming Guest fee will also decided by the CEC from time to time and the same presently being Rs 50.00 (exclusive of taxes & duties) per persons per day. The Guest fee need to be paid at Reception Counter while entering the society. Please refer to Guest Entry Rules & Fees.
- The General Secretary shall have the power to disallow any person to come as a Guest Swimmer without showing any reason.
Do’s & Dont's at ILSS
- Always carry your Membership Card.
- Ensure that your Ward always carries a valid Junior Associate Card.
- Please visit the Society during the operating hours only.
- Please follow Swimming & Guest Entry rules .
- Please observe the Dress Code.
- Do not allow your chauffeur to park your car between the third and last (South) gates of the Society.
- Kindly do not bring in any Aya, Servant, Driver, Attendant, Personal Staff.
- Mobile phones have to be kept in silent mode inside Sonartori and Sarobar. While talking, please maintain reasonable decibel levels as also avoid loud conversation.
- Do not hold parties in the Society premises without prior permission.
- Please note that Junior Associates are not allowed to stay in the Society premises after 8 PM unless accompanied by their guardians (as per society records).
- In the event of a Change of Address (or any other contact details, including but not limited to phone number, email address) of a Member, it is his/her responsibility to intimate the Society forthwith in writing. The members may be required to furnish proof of such change.
Dress Code
The following attire are NOT PERMITTED in the Society premises:
- Pyjama & Kurta.
- Trousers with Kurta or Punjabi.
- Shorts.
- Track Suit & round neck t-shirts (in the evening inside any Air Conditioned Restaurant/Bar or Party facilities).
- Fatua (Half Sleeve Shirt with no collar).
- Half Sleeve Punjabi.
- Slippers without back strap.
- T Shirt without Collar.
Swimming Rules
- Please sign the Register (Kept with the dressing room attendant) before & after dip.
- Swim only with proper swimming costume.
- Shorts, tights, 2 (two) piece swim suits for ladies are not allowed.
- Please take a thorough shower before entering into any of the Swimming Pools.
- Red Caps must be worn while Swimming in the Pools during training hours (6 to 10:30AM & 4PM to 6PM - Monday to Friday).
- 1st Swimming Pool is exclusively reserved for the ladies during Ladies Training Hours.
- Junior Associates must deposit their valid Junior Associate Cards with the pool attendant before entering any swimming pool in the Society.
- Life Belts may be used only on emergency and with the prior permission of the Life Savers.
- Do not train any novice (Novices must take the help of a trainer on duty at the Society.)
- Do not bring any novice for swimming as your guest.
- Guest Swimmers are not allowed to avail themselves of training facility at the Society.
- Junior Associates are not allowed to use members’ dressing rooms. Junior Associates are strictly required to use dressing room(s) apointed for them.
- Usage of Soap and Oil in the Swimming Pools is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Any contravention of this rule may lead to a prosecutable offence & case an immediate show-cause notice to be served on the erring member.
- Persons below 21 years of age are not allowed to swim after 8PM even as guests.
- Ladies must wear proper swimming head gear in the Swimming Pools.
- In case of any discrepancy the General Secretary's decision is final & binding.
Guest Entry Rules & Fees
- Please register your guests in the front office and pay guest charges as applicable.
- Guests must adhere to the dress code of the Society.
- Member(s) must accompany the guest(s) and remain in the Society premises during the stay of the guests in the Society.
- Member may not sign for more than 4 (four) guests at any given time. However, if any member wants to introduce more than 4 (four) guests at any point of time, he or she should take permission from the General Secretary for that purpose.
- The guest entry charges are as follows –
- 6:00am -11:30 am @ Rs 20 for 4 guest from the 5th guest onwards @Rs50.
- 11:30am - 11:00 pm @ Rs50 for 4 guests from the 5th guest @Rs 100.
- Permission needs to be taken if a member wants to bring more than 4 guests in the Society. 4 guests are allowed against each membership no.
These norms are not meant to restrict the manner of your enjoyment but rather to make it possible for all the members present to enjoy the facilities that are on offer.
Membership Card
- Use of facilities at the Society including entrance to the Society premises is not permitted unless a member carries a VALID Membership Card.
- In the event of loss / misplacement of the Membership Card the member shall apply for a duplicate card against applicable charges if any and obtain a temporary permission to enter the Society and use the facilities (during the pendency of issuance of new / duplicate membership card
- The Membership Card issued is required to be produced at the time of bill payment at any of the outlets (including bars & restaurants) of the Society.
- Members are required to produce their Membership Cards issued by the Society on demand, by the Society employees on duty.
Misconduct
- In the event of any member being charged with conduct considered un-sportsman like or ungentlemanly or prejudicial to the interest of the Society or an Intentional breach of articles or bye-laws of the Society, explanation shall be called for by the Central Executive Committee which has the sole authority to decide on the appropriateness of the behaviour with respect to the circumstances and rules in force.
- No member shall be cautioned, suspended, asked to resign or expelled unless the decision is supported by at least 2/3rds of the members present & voting (quorum being 15 members).
- Alternatively 2/3rd majority over and above the 15 members as will be present in the ordinary CEC meeting specially conveyed for this purpose to exclude any member on sufficient grounds from the enjoyment of any or all the amenities open to a member for a fortnight.
- Please note, not carrying a VALID Membership Card will be construed as a misconduct.
